Few things happened since I last blogged, first I went to watch The Avengers. It is amazing!! Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth is dreamy as usual. The movie is a bit cheesy but I’m ok with that since it’s from a comic anyway. The humor of it is pretty good too!! There were 2 previews after credits, I only watched 1!!! I didn’t know there were 2!! BOOOO~ I watched the 11:30pm showing, it was packed!! I didn’t get home till about 2am. Haha~ I would definitely recommend this movie but I will definitely not watch it in 3D.
Another thing that happened was that I finally got a sewing machine!! After looking at many different models for ages, I have settled with a Brother CP-7500. I was originally going to go for a Singer, but I heard that newer Singers suck. What was nice about this one over the Singer one was that it came with a hard cover so my machine will collect less dust. Came with an extension table as well which is nice to larger projects!! I got it for about $177 after shipping. I also bought bobbins to go with it. Now if only my mom still worked at her work place where I can get thread of any color for free. D: I haven’t tried out the machine yet since this weekend past has been busy as hell.
On Saturday, I went to Joey’s with my friend from California who happens to be in Vancouver for a business trip. I had my usual 8oz steak!! Unfortunately, I only remembered to take a photo after I already ate part if it. I also had a glass of Riesling with my steak, yes I know I’m weird, having white wine with my steak. After steak, we ordered another usual of mine, Apple Pie with Maple Syrup ice cream. It is so good!! Blogging about it makes me want to get another. =w=;; After dinner, I called out another friend of mine and we went to Salt Tasting Room for cheese and wine. Since I drove, I didn’t have a more wine. I took photos, but as you can see, my phone does not seem to like the dark!! The photos are so grainy!! Anyway, cheese and wine was ok. It was quite pricey so I think I would prefer it more if I picked out a bottle of wine myself and bought myself some cheese to have at home instead. Went to work on Sunday and had my usual pho for lunch.
So there are another event going on Poupee. (When aren’t there events?? Lol~) The Horoscope event is another annual event. This year is much better than last year, but I hate how some of the items are in jewels section. I am a Pisces and all the Pisces items are in jewels side!!! D: You can activate the backgrounds by buying and wearing one of the ring/necklace/foot anklet which is sold on the ribbon side. I bought all the star ones cause they are cute. I think I’ll only buy the ring for the moon one since my wardrobe doesn’t have much dark purple anyway. I love the constellation event background. It is adorable!! You’ll unlock more to the background as you wear more items sold during the event. I wonder if there will be another new background for Vol.3. It Would be cool if there were!! I held back on some items, but Katherine sure didn’t let us down this event cause all the items are quite nice!!
